I'm sure I've asked this before, but I have the BM cd Falls From Grace (love it, btw). How does the BOB release compare? Anybody?

The "Badly Beaten, but Still Conscious" cd is about 100 times better than "Falls from Grace"...a first class cd all the way!!!

Well, figuring that I love the Grace cd, I guess that means that I'd completely dig the Badly Beaten effort. Thanx Sandi.

They aren't too far apart from each other really. If you like the one, and you like the stuff by the Brats, then you will like the other. I prefer his work with Thee Brats though, but he told me that the songs he does solo that Thee Brats also do, are done properly on his solo stuff. Ricky loved Brian's solo stuff, but was a little hurt that he chose to still do the stuff the Brats would do, and do them so differently.

A bit of drama for you there.

I love the Brats, but I think the versions of the songs on Brian's solo cd are better. I'm kind of acoustically oriented myself anyway, so that explains my preference probably. I think Brian's version of Clown Act is totally unbelievable...WAY better than the Brats version in my opinion...

Yeah, Sandi, I agree with his solo version of Clown Act. Wasn't really into the Brats version but it really came alive for me on the solo cd. Perhaps some real life experience might get some credit for that as well.

After giving several listens to the Badly Beaten cd, I think I agree more with Carl on this one. Both are great. Perhaps Falls is a bit more ecclectic, however.
